There are many golf courses covering a wide range of layouts and difficulty levels within a short distance of Pine Acres Resort.

County Parks
Marinette County maintains 19 county parks, most offering picnic tables, playgrounds, swimming, fishing and hiking, all within 40 miles of Pine Acres Resort.

Swimming
There are a variety of public parks and beaches in the surrounding area.

Boating
Rental of pantoon boats, canoes and fishing boats and motors are available in the immediate area.

Fishing
With 444 lakes and 623 miles of trout streams, this area offers a variety of fishing opportunities, from pan fish to trout and game fish, with a fly fishing area just south of us on the Peshtigo river. Ice fishing is also very popular in this area.

Hunting
Our area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.

Water Ski Shows
Two local ski teams, the Twin Bridge Ski Club and the Crivitz Ski Cats, perform on a regular basis.

Museums
Located nearby are the Crivitz Area Museum, the Peshtigo Fire Museum and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.

Shopping
An abundance of antique and gift shops as well as art galleries and specialty shops are available for the avid treasure hunter.

Go-Karts, Miniature Golf and Bumper Boats located just a few miles away.

From mid-September to mid-October, come see the north woods aflame with color.

Whitewater Rafting
Several rafting companies offer guided trips on the exciting whitewaters of the Peshtigo and Menominee Rivers.

Walking & Hiking Trails
For those who love to walk, we have a pine forest of several thousand acres adjoining us, as well as several other trails nearby, including trails in the Nicolet National Forest.

Bicycling
The "Menominee River Century Ride" and the "Tour de Colour" bicycling tours are held annually in June and September respectively. "Marinette County Scenic Bicycle Routes" is available by calling 1-800-236-6681.

Rustic Road Tour
We are located right on Parkway Road, Wisconsin Rustic Road #32, ideal for both car and bicycle touring.

Waterfall Tour
Marinette County is the Waterfall Capitol of Wisconsin, with 14 major waterfalls inside it's borders. Many are located withinin the Marinette County Parks. A Waterfall Map is available.

ATV Trails
Marinette County offers approximately 130 miles of ATV trails.

Snowmobiling
Pine Acres Resort is located right on the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail with over 100 miles of trails throughout the flowage area and beyond.

Cross-Country Skiing
We offer five miles of cross-country ski trails right on our premises. In addition, the Marinetee County Cross-Country Ski Association provides over 30 miles of trails along the scenic Peshtigo River with varying difficulty for the beginner to advance cross-country ski enthusiast. There are also trails in Crivitz and in the nearby Nicolet National Forest.

Dining
There are many fine restaurants in the immediate area to satisfy a variety of culinary tastes.
